Traveling through airports with kids can be unpredictable—but our experience with Southwest Airlines MCO Terminal at Orlando International Airport (MCO) was nothing short of a pleasant surprise. From the moment we entered Terminal A, the environment felt inviting, efficient, and thoughtfully laid out. With two young children and plenty of travel gear, we appreciated how easy it was to find our way around, and more importantly, how friendly and helpful the Southwest staff were right from the curbside.
The check-in area had a steady flow, yet never felt overwhelming. There were Southwest team members available to guide us through self-service kiosks and answer questions—always with a smile. One employee even helped us print bag tags and offered a sticker to our curious toddler, a small gesture that made a big difference. With our bags checked and boarding passes in hand, we headed toward security with far less stress than we’d anticipated.
Terminal A itself was bright, clean, and family-conscious. Everything from seating areas to restrooms was designed with comfort and convenience in mind. It felt like Southwest truly understood the needs of families traveling through one of the busiest airports in Florida. This smooth beginning gave us a sense of confidence and calm that carried us through the rest of our journey.
