While euphoric hardstyle gained popularity, another subgenre known as rawstyle emerged. Rawstyle took the harder, darker elements of traditional hardstyle and pushed them even further. With heavier, more distorted kicks and less focus on melodies, hardstyle appeals to those who prefer a grittier and more intense sound.
